During my visit, I saw numerous photographs and paintings of the city at night, as seen from the Kowloon side. Nonetheless, I saw an opportunity to use this iconic image in a playful way. What if all of a sudden, the lights and colours were released from their original source and started to wander through the darkness of night? Reflections would emerge from unexpected places. The formal structure of buildings would be loosened. Here and there are hints of Mondrian.
