Glen Keith was founded in 1957 with blended whisky in mind. The owners needed a lighter style of whisky for their blends intended for the American market, and as such, Glen Keith triple distilled their whisky for a while - a practice not often seen in Speyside. Not only that, there have been times in Glen Keith’s history when they produced peated whisky, again needed for blends (though a few casks of this have been released as single malts in recent years). On our label of Glen Keith, we’ve got the chaps from the Edinburgh Whisky Blog strutting their stuff in front of Edinburgh Castle. Looking good, chaps!

Tasting notes:

Nose: Fragrant barley, dried grasses and toasted coriander seeds. There’s a savoury meatiness too.
Palate: A creamy mouthfeel with vanilla custard and tinned peaches, fresh melon and a grassy note. A hint of mint comes later which turns chocolatey.
Finish: The melon stays long into the finish then leaves that minty chocolate note.
