The Hanyu Distillery was whisky distillery located in a town with the same name. The company was founded by the Akuto family which had been in brewing business since the 1600s. In the 1980’s the company started distilling whisky, unfortunately this did not last and the company was closed down in 2000. Bottles from it are however highly sought after. The Hanyu 1988 ‘Full Proof Holland’ is from one of the 400 remaining casks that were saved after the distillery was dismantled. Jeroen Koetsier from Full Proof Holland ordered a half cask of Hanyu in 2006, he liked it so much that he ordered the other half shortly after. The labels were designed by the Dutch artist Hans Dillesse. Please allow up to 14 days delivery time on this item.
