US$191,663.00

This Porsche 911 S is a matching numbers example and comes complete with the original owners manual and the original service book, chronicling its life throughout the 1970's and 80's. Accompanied within the file is a Certificate of Authenticity from Porsche, outlining the vehicles original specification which it still bears today.

Porsche's long-running 911 arrived in 1964, replacing the 356. In 1970 the engine underwent the first of many enlargements - to 2.2 litres. The S's power output then was 180bhp, increasing to 190bhp with the introduction of the 2.4-litre engine for 1972. Our Porsche has the same engine that it left the factory with and is fitted with a manual gearbox, that shifts smoothly through the gears.

Tenacious adhesion, responsive steering, very good flexibility, superb brakes, meticulous finish and a solid feel were just some of the virtues praised by Motor magazine in its test of a Porsche 911 in 1973. The 911 S for sale at DD Classics maintains these characteristics, being smooth, comfortable and fast, it is a real pleasure to drive.

Our 1973 Porsche 911S, is finished in the same stunning shade of Silver Metallic paint that originally graced the bodywork in 1973. Upholstered with unmarked black and white Hounds-Tooth leatherette, showing little signs of wear, the interior is in fantastic condition, including four speakers fitted into the doors. Additionally, the car has coloured windows, adding a touch of style and class to the iconic Porsche.

Sitting on a beautiful set of Fuchs alloy wheels that complete its look, this car would be an ideal addition to any car collection or a fantastic usable classic.
