Porsche's long-running 911 arrived in 1964, replacing the 356. In 1970 the engine underwent the first of many enlargements - to 2.2 litres. The S's power output then was 180bhp, increasing to 190bhp with the introduction of the 2.4-litre engine for 1972.

Tenacious adhesion, responsive steering, very good flexibility, superb brakes, meticulous finish and a solid feel were just some of the virtues praised by Motor magazine in its test of a Porsche 911 in 1973. The 911 S for sale at DD Classics maintains these characteristics, being smooth, comfortable and fast, it is a real pleasure to drive.

This Porsche 911 "S" Sunroof Coupe is an exceptional example and was the last of the early production 911 S's. In excellent mechanical condition with a powerful 2.4 litre engine (producing 190 bhp), 915 5-speed manual gearbox that shifts smoothly and four-wheel disc braking system, it is a truly fantastic driver.

Only 1,430 "911S" Coupes were built in the year 1973, approximately only 10% of these where fitted with the special order electric sunroof. Additional options include; factory sports seats, limited slip differential, "S' front spoiler, driving lights, Fuchs alloy rims and original toolkit.

Beautiful paintwork in Guards Red and fabulous interior with Black hide and matching top roll, it is extremely stylish throughout. Sitting on a fabulous set of Fuchs alloy wheels and benefitting from the additional driver lights that look striking from every angle, this highly sought after German sports-car would be an ideal addition to any car collection or a fantastic usable classic.
