In December 2012 this Vantage was purchased by Autosport Designs, Inc., imported to the USA and sold almost immediately to a well-known AMOC club member here on the East Coast of the United States. The V8 Vantage was driven only a short while until being entrusted to Aston Martin marque specialists Steel Wings for a complete chassis renovation, bare metal repaint and complete servicing. The brakes and suspensions systems were completely renewed and a Steel Wings suspension with upgraded springs, shock absorbers and anti-roll bar installed. It was also decided to update the hubs and wheels to late style with Ronal type factory wheels. The Vantage was stripped to bare metal and treated to a concours quality repaint to better than new condition with all brightwork reconditioned.
