British Salmson's 6 The cylinder model is one out of only 12 cars produced between 1935 and 1939. The chassis is based on a 4-cylinder S4D model with excellent left-right independent front suspension and rack & pinion type steering. Because this chassis was produced in France until 1952, there are abundant spare parts of the chassis. The first car had a so-called British prototype body equipped with a Bendix wire brake and a Salmson standard specification wheel. Later they were changed to hydraulic brakes and cast iron rims of Jordan center lock, after which the same chassis has become the same specification. The body to be combined is made by Whittingham & Mitchel which is coach builder of London. Eight of these British Salmson 6-cylinder models are present, but this is exceptionally high survival as a prewar model.

This individual is given individual chassis number 110 and is the individual itself exhibited at the London Motor Show in 1938. Compared to the other two of the same specifications, the front wing is more rounded, and under the door is equipped with attractive side steps with volume. The price was set at 650 GBP and it was a very expensive model compared to Jaguar SS 100 at about 350 pounds.

Individuals of this chassis number 110 were saved at the factory until they were sold in 1947. It was in 1958 that Mr. EA Yates, the first owner, handed over this individual to Guy Broad, a tuning parts specialist for the Jaguar XK series. Mr. Broad then puts this individual in a trade with Austin-Healey owned by Performance Cars company. (There is still a logo of Performance Cars of that time on the dashboard.) After that, the individual who passed the hand of Mr. Bob Chelley was disassembled, and the preservation state of parts was not good either. And the former owner rebuilt after getting this car in half disassembled condition.

The engine was given a new crankshaft, connecting rod, piston, camshaft, and valve gear, and at the same time it underwent inspections of the gearbox and rear axle, and the bearings of each part were exchanged. The brake was overhauled and the hydraulic master cylinder was combined with a stainless steel liner to prevent sticking during long term storage. A water pump and an electric fan are added to respond to the modern traffic situation, and an electric oil pump for raising the hydraulic pressure before starting the engine is given. It has a cell motor.
After the original body panel is removed and the wooden frame is also exchanged to the new one as requested by the owner, the interior is replaced with black leather and a new carpet is laid. The hood that was replaced with a new one has been used only twice so far. These working photographs are saved in a file, and there is also a car verification in the UK V5 registration and an original register.

After the restoration is complete, the vehicle is used not only for club rallies but also on a daily basis,
I also occasionally show up at the Hill Climb event which is held regularly in France. Recently since it was given a piston of Haikomp, it has only run 150 miles and the engine is in a condition where careful accustoming is necessary. It will be necessary to adjust the carburetor and ignition timing by running for a while, but maintenance is absolutely unnecessary except it, this car can be said to be the highest grade condition. The mileage is approximately 31,000 km. As the former owner exceeded 70 years old, the children did not show interest in his car collection, so one of the few cars decided to sell was this car.

Salmson vehicles are grasped by British Salmson owners clubs in Britain and Amicale Salmson in France which hosts events and international rallies. In 2014 Vintage Montlhéry Salmson was featured as the main brand. Salmson is also a brand that France is a proud brand and qualified to participate in Rally de Grand Marques.

The new owner of this vehicle not only can participate in major events gathered by prewar cars, but also boasts a right and left independent front suspension, a rack and pinion type steering and a powerful hydraulic brake, the prewar best vest You will have a driver's car that can be said to be one. Tony Dron, a prominent motor journalist and editor of Classic Car magazine, said this chassis # 110 as "the best car that no one had heard of" after test drive. This model rarely goes to the market, and there are only a few cars that have similar twin cam engines.
