The stiles have unusual lower reeding rising into opposed fluting detail with the muntins half fluted, arched at the top. - The upper rail is decorated with carved reciprocating foliate lunettes around a central iron lock and clasp with key absent. The end panels and rear are plain as one would expect. - A two plank, chamfered top overhangs the carcass and lifts on iron strap hinges to reveal generous storage within complete with candle box. - The oak has a warm finish in deep russet tones with the stiles and rails of stout stock making for a strong and sturdy piece.
