The chassis is based on a 4-cylinder S4D model with excellent left-right independent front suspension and rack & pinion type steering. Because this chassis was produced in France until 1952, there are abundant spare parts of the chassis. The first car had a so-called British prototype body equipped with a Bendix wire brake and a Salmson standard specification wheel. Later they were changed to hydraulic brakes and cast iron rims of Jordan center lock, after which the same chassis has become the same specification. The body to be combined is made by Whittingham & Mitchel which is coach builder of London. Eight of these British Salmson 6-cylinder models are present, but this is exceptionally high survival as a prewar model. This individual is given individual chassis number 110 and is the individual itself exhibited at the London Motor Show in 1938. Compared to the other two of the same specifications, the front wing is more rounded, and under the door is equipped with attractive side steps with volume. The price was set at 650 GBP and it was a very expensive model compared to Jaguar SS 100 at about 350 pounds. Individuals of this chassis number 110 were saved at the factory until they were sold in 1947. It was in 1958 that Mr. EA Yates, the first owner, handed over this individual to Guy Broad, a tuning parts specialist for the Jaguar XK series. Mr. Broad then puts this individual...
