Price On Request Dimensions (cm): 29.5 x 22.5 x 15 Year: 1900 A late Victorian silver plated Wine Bottle Pourer, the winding mechanism with a turned ebony handle, the rounded rectangular base engraved with the Mappin & Webb monogram, surmounted by a circular carrying handle which doubles up with a screw action to hold the bottle in place, also marked H&H for Hukin & Heath. Mappin & Webb are silversmiths to Queen Elizabeth II and The Prince of Wales and their high status has endured for over a century. They were bought by Asprey & Co in the 1980's. Hukin & Heath produced a lot of silver and silver plate which was retailed by Mappin & Webb. Based in Birmingham, they are best known for their production in the 1879's and 1880's of silver and silver plate under the guidance of the important designer Dr Christopher Dresser.
