Feldschuh Gallery - Joel-Peter Witkin, Three Kinds of Woman, 1992
US$40,000.00 The elaborately staged and often erotically charged scenes of Joel-Peter Witkin explore grand themes of religion, sex, and mortality. This work, which appeared in his 1993 book_Twelve Photographs_, is a prime example of Witkin's photographic tableaux. Made in Mexico City, it is a darkly fantastical, south-of-the-border take on Georges Seurat's 1888 painting_Les Poseuses_. The large size of this print...

US$75,000.00 "I feed on art more than I ever do on photographs," said Irving Penn (1917-2009). This 1947 still life is a testament to the photographer's art historical nourishment.
